In Türkiye, it's a dessert made by dipping walnuts strung on a string into grape or mulberry juice, usually found in Kahramanmaraş, Gümüşhane, Elazığ, Artvin, and surrounding provinces. The main ingredient in the juice is boiled molasses or fruit (grape or mulberry) juice. It's named for its resemblance to a sausage.

How to make walnut sausage?

Walnuts, grape molasses, flour, and water are typically used to make walnut sausage. The traditional method is to string walnuts and dip them in the grape molasses mixture before drying them. Occasionally, honey or mulberry molasses can be used instead. Storing walnut sausage properly is also crucial.
